Numbers strong for IPv6 Hui in NZ
Over 180 registrations have been received for the IPv6 Hui business technology events in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch next week. The events will focus on roadmaps and corporate adoption of IPv6 – the next-generation Internet addressing protocol.

‘Father of the Internet’ Dr Vint Cerf is keynote speaker for the Auckland and Wellington legs. IPv6 expert Professor Hiroshi Esaki from Tokyo University will keynote the Christchurch event via videoconference.

Report from the First German IPv6 Congress
The frst German IPv6 congress took place on May 28th & 29th in Frankfurt and was hosted by heise Netze, iX,
and DE-CIX. Over 200 attendees, great presentations and tutorials made this congress a great success. The
program included firsthand reports relevant to practical issues instead of marketing blurbs or general declara-
tions of intent.
The welcome notes were given by Johannes Endres (Chief Editor at Heise Netze) and DE-CIX’s Frank Orlowski who
pointed out that IPv6 is fnally getting the attention it is supposed to get.
